As a professional graphic artist and owner of White Spider, Inc. since 1998, Erik Michael Zimmerman appreciates the world of color and shapes. During the first 10 years in business, Erik always had an on and off relationship with photography. When cameras made the move to digital, that relationship quickly became more on, than off. Officially, White Spider Photography was created in 2008 as a sub-company to White Spider, Inc.
Erik enjoys photography as both a creative outlet and as a part of his business, focusing primarily on landscapes, astrophotography, drone photography, nature, real estate, and architecture. Several images have been purchased for use in publications, such as the cover for the Shenandoah County Virginia Visitors Guide in 2015, and another selected and printed on an electrical box as part of the Woodstock, VA beautification project in 2017.
Erik’s photographs have also been featured within various Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® theme designs and were selected two years in a row (2018 and 2019) for the Shenandoah Arts Council Art Scape project in Old Town Winchester, VA. Several photos were also purchased for display in local hotels owned by the Aikens Group in 2019 as part of their renovation project.
